Indian
Patent Office going paper-less
As
per the notification issued on March 31, 2016 by the Office of Controller
General of Patents, Designs and Trademark, auto-allotment system is implemented
from April 01, 2016 in order to streamline the allotment of patent application
to examiners for examination.
The
First Examination Reports (FERs) will now be issued electronically by
respective Controllers and sent to respective agents/applicant through e-mails
only. The first examination report will also be available on official website (lnPASS).
Further,
response to FER shall be sent to the original jurisdiction to which the
application belongs through front office counter or be filed through comprehensive
e-filing system.
